Certain Affinity is an exclusive, independent Austin developer comprised of a tightly-knit group of experienced, no-nonsense veterans committed to solid work/life balance. We’re best known for co-developing numerous AAA FPS games, though we are also creating compelling new games of our own.

As a Project Manager, you will be supporting project initiatives that will have a cross-company impact as well as those unique to the Business Team.
This role requires a combination of strong business acumen, project management expertise, resourcefulness, and ability to collaborate across a broad range of functions and teams. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and will be team-oriented with excellent communication skills. Establishing a healthy working relationship at all levels of the organization is critical to the success of this role.

Responsibilities
- Project manage and lead business initiatives as assigned
- Facilitate cross-department engagement, communication, and collaboration
- Ensure materials are complete, meet the quality bar, and achieve the overall objectives
- Facilitate meeting logistics, agenda, and follow-ups where appropriate
- Gather stakeholders and help drive alignment and decision making
- Capture and follow up on issues and help drive them to closure
- Evaluate results and report outcomes
- Lead end-to-end planning, status reporting, and execution of each project
- Create customer requirements, write tech specs, documentation, and roadmaps
- Effectively communicate project goals and how they align with the teams'

- Identify KPIs or metrics and track schedule throughout the entire project lifecycle
- Ensure design architecture meets the needs of stakeholders and hits the quality bar
- Continually use data to derive insights to measure and improve programs
- Conduct project post-mortems to capture learns, best practices, and areas for improvement for future projects
- Develop collaborative partnerships across multiple disciplines and outside resources
- Manage and foster both internal stakeholder relationships
- Project manage and negotiate conflicting priorities
- Drive the implementation and delivery of processes, tools, and programs
- Report on team members' engagement and activities
- Anticipate issues in advance and work with stakeholders to resolve quickly
- Help identify external support resources as needed SMEs based on the project needs and goals
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in project management or program management role
- Minimum 5+ years related experience in software development with 4 years of technical architecture design experience
- BS, BA, or MS Computer Science Degree / Master’s in business, or equivalent experience
- Proven experience managing all aspects of projects from conception to production operations and support
- Proven record of building technical and business relationships with senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated expectation management
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to lead across multiple teams without business or discipline ownership
- Comfortable dealing with complex projects while working through project ambiguity
- Demonstrates deep technical subject matter expertise to scope projects, design solutions, and resolve issues
- Sound judgment with proven ability to anticipate problems and work proactively to address them
- Strong analytical, project management and customer service skills and experience
- Ability to think holistically, strategically, and creatively on critical challenges
- Familiarity with a range of cloud-based productivity and communication products (e.g., Slack, Trello, SmartSheets)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Extra Credit
- Experience in gaming, game development, and the games industry
- Proficient in G Suite, Google’s cloud-based business productivity and collaboration products
