Project Manager (Marketing) - Wilmslow

Our Marketing team serves as the link between the company and our passionate community. Based in Wilmslow (near Manchester) as a Project Manager in Marketing, you will be working closely with the product marketing team to drive and execute our marketing promotions and brand campaigns across all our international offices.

Founded in 2012, Cloud Imperium Games creates cutting-edge videogames that defy expectations. We’re currently developing Star Citizen, a record-breaking multiplayer online space sim, and Squadron 42, a cinematic single-player adventure set in the same universe. Join us as we break boundaries and make videogame history.

With studios in LA, Austin, Manchester (Wilmslow), Frankfurt, and Derby our colleagues work in a relaxed, innovative, and future thinking environment. We host various sports and social groups, such as tabletop games, wargaming, yoga, football and tennis, to name a few.

We are a crowdfunded company and have a dedicated and enthusiastic community of backers who are helping us create the “Best Damn Space Sim Ever”.

What do our Project Managers do in Marketing?

• Serve as a global driving force on Marketing promotional projects, reporting into the Senior Marketing Producer in the US, including supporting the team on brand initiatives
• Be responsible for facilitating communication, organisation, and accountability within geo-distributed Marketing teams in Los Angeles (US), Austin (US), Montreal (Canada), Germany and UK
• Create, track, and manage tasks for Marketing team and ensure that schedules are maintained and adjusted accordingly for all marketing initiatives to its highest standard
• Keep internal marketing confluence page, team documentation and action items frequently up to date
• Attend remote events (for now), provide staff-level support and being able to ‘get your hands dirty’ in order to meet deadlines

What would we expect from our Project Managers?

• To have excellent project management experience working on marketing campaigns or other relevant job experiences
• Be proficient with standard project management development tools and methodologies
• Able to demonstrate ownership of projects, be an active participant and be a self-sufficient problem solver
• Willing to work adjusted hours to coordinate better with US teams
• Be happy to do some international travel when required for events, etc
