The role of Project Manager – Construction Projects is an important role in the company’s PMO, and requires senior experience and expertise in project management and specifically in change management in construction projects.
Experience must include hand’s-on management of people, processes, and technology. The ideal candidate will possess expert skills in both the tactical and logistic aspects of project management, have solid and recent past experience managing change and construction projects, gathering, and validating requirements, managing prioritization of tasks and the project backlog, and will be readily equipped to hands-on manage this project and liaise with project peers and the business.
The Project Manager will be part of the organization led by the Vice President of EPMO, and will report to the Director of Project Management, and must be adept in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, is expected to develop, and nurture relationships across workstreams and with all project resources both internal and external.What you'll do
- Under the leadership of the Director, lead the assigned workstreams through and to successful completion meeting budget, scope, and schedule expectations with quality outcomes
- Lead the assigned projects to ensure success in each of the project’s nine knowledge areas: Integration, budget, scope, schedule, quality, resources, communications, risk, and procurement
- Author project documents (e.g., charter, project plan, risk register, risk plan, communications plan, etc.), and design and lead project activities (e.g., requirements gathering, reviews, project meetings, etc.)
- Exhibit fluency in project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scaled Agile, Lean / Six Sigma, Waterfall, etc.), and flexibility in portfolio and project management tools (e.g., CA PPM, Innotas, Instantis, Jira, MS Project, Planview, etc.)
- Conduct project meetings with stakeholders and project teams, and create transparency of project status, risks and constraints
- Aggressively manage risk mitigation, remediation, and contingency strategies
- Prepare, deliver, and disseminate project briefings and reports as needed and or requested
- Manage multiple and potentially dissimilar sub-workstreams, and fill in to cover other aspects of the projects, as and when needed
- Lead and engage with project teams, business leaders and other executives
- Be current on project management best practices

- Support all aspects of coordinating the management of construction schedules, leading business workstreams from inception through occupancy and manage people moves

Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, communications, project management, engineering, or related project management undergraduate course of study; an advanced degree is a plus
- Certification (or near-term exam-ready) in one or more of the following: Project Management Professional (PMP®), Program Management Professional (PgMP®), or Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP®), or Agile Scrum
Experience
- Experience in project management tools, techniques, and methodologies
- Recent past experience managing ERP projects, and in requirements gathering / validation, documentation of user stories, acceptance criteria, test tracking, etc.
- Minimum of five years project management experience at Project Manager or higher level
Requirements
- Driver’s license for in-town property-to-property travel, if requested
- Willing to travel on project assignments, as needed (<10%)
