Frontier is an established, market leading independent developer and publisher of videogames for PC and consoles. We have achieved serial successes across a wide variety of titles including Elite Dangerous , Planet Coaster , Jurassic World Evolution , Planet Zoo and F1 Manager . Founded in 1994, we are based in the world-leading technology cluster and historic city of Cambridge, England. With a growing team of over 800 talented people supporting our existing portfolio and ambitious future roadmap, we are passionate about creating innovative genre-leading games and authentic worlds for our communities of players.

Our diverse audio team is looking to expand and bring a new Project Audio Lead on board. As an experienced leader and people manager you will guide a project team to stay on track and will provide them with meaningful feedback to help them achieve their tasks and goals.

This role is the equivalent of a Principal level role in responsibility.

You will help to create a safe space for learning, career growth and working together as a team. As the Lead of a Project you are not asked to be the best sound designer, the most technical person or being the best planner: With over 62 supporting staff across audio design, technical audio and audio production you will be assisted in those roles so we can succeed as a team.

You do excel at being a trusted and safe pair of hands and can use emotional intelligence and experience to guide, mentor and expand your team.

If that sounds like you, have a look at the detail below and imagine yourself in this role? Don't worry if you don't meet all the requirements listed, we don't see these as a means to gate-keep, rather to help guide your application and hopefully make your enthusiastic for this role!

Requirements:

A gameaudio showreel on YouTube (public/hidden YouTube links are fine) with your best work. We are happy to review paint overs and audio re-designs.

Extensive experience in creating audience facing audio, from a relevant or adjacent discipline.

Experience managing and/or leading teams.

We prefer candidates whom have shipped projects of a similar scope to Frontier Developments releases.

Experience working with adjacent disciplines in game development is a plus!

Please upload any show reels to either your public website or a public/private YouTube link, we are unable to view google drive links.
For this role we cannot support part-time or outsource candidates.
