Product Manager, Consumer

We are seeking a curious and driven Product Manager with a background in consumer products and web to join our team at Backbone!
In this role, you will be responsible for the full product development lifecycle for assigned features from ideation and definition through to release and analysis. You will play a key role in growing revenue for our web platform and in providing unique and delightful experiences for our web users. You will collaborate cross-functionally with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product launches, increase user adoption, and enhance brand representation in the competitive gaming industry.

What You'll Do:
- Drive the product philosophy, vision, and roadmap for Backbone's software across game experience, home, community, and content creation.
- Lead initiatives to drive user growth, including marketing strategies, partnerships, and product features that increase onboarding and retention.
- Oversee the launch of new Backbone products from concept to market, ensuring timely delivery and successful execution.
- Drive cross-functional execution to enhance the Backbone+ service. This includes everything from partnerships with major platforms to new features in the Backbone app.
- Leverage user data, analytics, and market insights to make informed product decisions, track KPIs, and refine strategies for growth.
- Define and own performance against key business metrics and proactively report progress against those goals to the relevant stakeholders.
- Work with a team of engineers, designers, data scientists, hardware engineers to build delightful experiences at scale
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years product management experience, preferably in the consumer product space.
- 2+ years experience building and shipping great software, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines.
- Proven track record of shipping products from design to deployment.
- Strong product sense and pride in understanding Backbone and our players.
- Strong analytical ability to quickly organize and leverage data to make informed product decisions with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Sufficient technical domain expertise to drive alignment on technical requirements with devices, data science, embedded software, and more.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about finding solutions to complex problems, and then executing on them.
- Bonus Points: Strong experience with consumer subscription products or connected devices.
