Trail is looking for a talented and driven Product Manager with an engineering background in game development, who wants to join us to shape the future of gaming.

What you'll do

Your role is to understand our target customers, gather insights, find opportunities, and help prioritize work on our suite of developer tools in a way that optimizes the overall developer experience. Your main target customers are thousands of Unity game developers at leading game studios across the world.

• Contribute to the overall product strategy and support it with a product strategy for our developer products. Translate the company vision to a vision for your products.
• Define roadmaps for our Game Manager, SDK, APIs and educational material through product discovery, including experimentation, user research and data analysis.
• Understand your customer to increase productivity. Create products customers love to use and solve real problems for our growing community of game developers.
• Be a strong voice representing game developers, while shaping Trail’s portfolio of game developer products.
• Ship developer experiences that allow game developers to develop, integrate, test, and publish games on Trail’s platform.
• Work with external game developers and third-party software tools providers, to make our platform compatible with the preferred tools of our customers.
• Lead the team through the ideation and inspire them with your vision. Ensure alignment with the company strategy, goals and key stakeholders.
• Work with other product managers, user insights, data science, and UX teams to learn, improve and deliver optimized tooling that helps game developers be successful on Trail’s platform.

Who you are

You want to work with visionary, passionate and dedicated people in a collaborative team environment, and focus on value creation for the customers.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in product management, with a proven ability to deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
• You know the game development process and lifecycle, based on 3+ years of working as a software engineer or a team lead in a game development company.
• Experience from working with Unity professionally
• Experience with data and insight-driven feature design and decision-making
• Experience communicating both creative and functional feedback to diverse groups
• Experience guiding the entire product development process, including product discovery and delivery.
• Comfortable working with ambiguity. This role is fast-paced and frequently evolves based on partner, strategy, and product priorities.
• Has a strong execution mindset and can work independently.
