The Pathfinders program is a 12-week summer internship designed for underrepresented first and second-year college students interested in software engineering or tech-related disciplines. This program offers students the ability to explore career opportunities and gain insight into the Gaming industry. Students work on impactful projects alongside industry veterans, to gain hands-on experience and develop leadership skills.
The Pathfinders program incorporates structured learnings and provides you with the tools to be successful during your time at EA. Each Pathfinder intern will have peer and professional mentorship, participate in networking activities, and engage with senior leaders. We particularly encourage applications from students who are historically underrepresented in this field.
Role
As a Product Management Intern in EA’s Digital Platform Product Management Team, you will work on defining services and tools that will be used by game development teams both inside and outside of EA. The Digital Platform includes product areas such as Commerce, Identity, Social, Game Economy, Game Play Services, Developer Experience, Data & AI. You will be a PM generalist in a product area.
What you’ll do:
- Engage in research and discovery of growth areas that will lead to insights on Product features that can be pitched to the product leadership team.
- Enable high functioning of a product by engaging in definition, capture, analysis and visualization of key product metrics that can be used to improve the product.
- Write Product Requirements in the form of User Stories & mockups that can be easily consumed by engineering and understood by non-technical audiences.
- Work collaboratively with engineering to understand tradeoffs and iterate on Product Requirements. Communicate tradeoff & scope decisions to stakeholders. Collaborate with other Product Managers to build a cohesive offering.
- Partner with other teams such as Program Management, Customer Experience, Legal, Marketing, Studios, and Finance to gather inputs and communicate feature scope
- Create product and feature collaterals that empower auxiliary teams to guide the use of features
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelors or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Demonstrate structured and analytical thinking on complex customer and business problems
- Demonstrate strong fundamentals for Product Strategy and Design
- Demonstrate a strong sense of data-forward decision making
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral presentation skills to senior audiences

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The hourly pay ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the hourly pay range for your specific location.
EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
HOURLY PAY RANGES
- California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $18 - $31
- Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $16 - $19
- New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $22 - $31
- Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $18 - $25
º $22 - $31
The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k). Interns in California are also eligible for Voluntary Disability Insurance.
