What will you be doing?
Your role is to be the face of a new sport, Unbound Fighting League, that we're developing at Sandbox VR. You will travel between Sandbox VR locations in the United States and coordinate exhibition tournament events at each location in order to promote UFL. Prior to each event, you are responsible for sourcing influencers, media, celebrities and others in each locale to attend and participate in UFL tournaments. Between event days, you'll promote the events on social media platforms, and continuously build and engage the UFL Community. Finally, you'll also responsible for training and preparing local staff members in each location to assist you on the day of the event.
Events Management- You have experience with planning, organizing and running promotional events. You know how to promote events and are constantly thinking of new ways to generate interest. You sweat the small details and plan meticulously so that your events do a great job of promoting your product. You'll use your own network, agencies, and contacts we have internally to source local talent for each event (influencers, esports personalities, celebrities, athletes, etc.).
Community Management and Social Media Engagement - You'll engage with fans online and build a community around UFL. You'll be the face of UFL and use your enthusiasm to draw players and viewers in. You'll use your creativity and make funny and interesting memes for UFL, as well as creating viral highlight videos and other content which is highly shareable on social media.
Who are we looking for:
- Events Management: You have a proven track record of successful events that you planned, organized, and executed. You can confidently develop, manage and reconcile event budgets. You can manage events as projects and ensure every detail is accounted for.
- Community, Social Media, & Influencer Campaigns: You have demonstrable experience in building and maintaining online communities. You have experience owning social media campaigns and producing content for them. You can identify and foster professional relationships with both key influencers and VIP players within the community, building towards collaborative efforts.
- Talent Sourcing: Identify, vet, and manage talent who can provide play-by-play commentary in local markets to ensure each event live stream is compelling, highly entertaining and informative.
- Travel Friendly: You enjoy travelling with your work and are happy to split your time between your home base and Sandbox VR locations around the United States.
- Training and Mentoring: You are confident and capable in training staff for events, ensuring everyone's roles and responsibilities are clearly understood.
- Technical Savy: You are able to manage the technical set up of broadcasting equipment, including: lights, cameras, and streaming PC. You have video editing experience (Adobe Premier, After Effects, or similar) and you're very comfortable using social media tools in order to create and publish content.
How you can really impress us:
- You already have a strong social media following.
- You have experience being a product or tech evangelist.
- Background in esports or involvement in video games or sports tournaments.
- You are a passionate VR Gamer.
- You have presented sports/games streaming, live tv, or esports broadcasts in the past and are a confident live presenter capable of producing engaging content and doing compelling play-by-play commentary.
- You are an energetic and confident public speaker, and you are comfortable being on camera. You can use your experience doing play-by-play commentary for esports or other sports in order to create an entertaining broadcast for viewers.
