Job Description
As a Product Director at Ubi MTL, you will oversee all products in your sector. You will influence the technological choices for projects in the best interest of the Ubisoft group to ensure the success of sectoral products and the mobilization of your teams.
What you'll do
- Determine client needs (production, direction) and help set out potential solutions with engineering;
- In collaboration with the directors and managers, CPI, technical leads and architects, develop the long-term functional vision for the product portfolio to which you are assigned;
- Set development priorities to ensure client satisfaction;
- Supervise and assess employees;
- Oversee work team activities, especially by following up on requests and department mandates;
- Define the product positioning strategy and present it to executives;
- Ensure the development of the product positioning strategy (tutorials, documents, training);
- Be the point of contact for all sector clients;
- Ensure the competitiveness of products by carrying out strategic positioning studies (product use, etc.);
- Determine acceptable quality standards for product delivery;
- Get involved in the working units that use the sectoral products by playing an active role in all related activities;
- With engineering, determine the compromises that are required to deliver a product that meets client needs on time and on budget;
- Oversee partnership relations with external internal stakeholders whenever necessary;
- Carry out all other related tasks.
Qualifications
What you bring to the team
- Around 3-5 years of experience as a Product Manager (or related experience);
- Knowledge of products/services adapted to production needs;
- A degree in Computer science or Software engineering (or other relevant training);
- The ability to influence change + anticipate blockers and find creative solutions to remove them;
- A collaborative mindset + excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
- Consideration of the impact your choices have on team members;
- Plenty of flexibility to adapt to whatever production (inevitably) throws your way: you can modify any part of your plans based on the situation.
