Overview
Bethesda Softworks is seeking an experienced Producer to join its Bethesda.net platform technology team. The Producer directly manages a development team, facilitates communication across the business, manages process and workflows, mitigates risks and helps to ensure that the team hits its development goals. The Producer will work with Technical and Product leadership to guarantee alignment across disciplines.
The Producer role on the platform team is a mixture between communications specialist, business analyst, coach, and project manager. We are looking for someone with a passion for continuous improvement and desire for ownership and accountability. The ability to rapidly prioritize, resolve blockers, and create transparency for multiple scrum teams is essential. Creating and maintaining schedules to deliver value frequently and on time to our stakeholders is critical. A successful candidate will be energized by the challenge of creating and fostering highly-productive, self-organizing teams.
Responsibilities
- Own production responsibilities for a team within a specific program, with a focus on process improvement, prioritization of the most impactful initiatives, and guaranteeing timely and reliable deliveries.
- Act as coach and champion of your teams’ processes, goals, and commitments.
- Dive into stakeholder requests, develop clear and coherent project plans, and see those plans through to completion.
- Oversee multiple large-scale initiatives from request, through development, release, and beyond – including monitoring, maintenance, updates, refreshes, and enhancements.
- Evaluate, mentor, mitigate conflicts, and celebrate team achievements to create an environment that encourages honesty, accountability, continuous growth, and high team morale.
- Make priority-based decisions for resource assignment.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, producers, and discipline-specific leadership to guarantee alignment, communicate risks, and report progress in a timely, concise fashion.
- Facilitate effective, productive development meetings that have clear agendas, relevant attendance, capture action items, and disseminate that information to the team, stakeholders, and beyond.
- A zealous advocacy for metrics-driven process, both for external reporting and for internal guidance for your teams.
- Partner closely with stakeholders and leadership to develop, communicate, champion, and defend honest, actionable roadmaps for your teams.
- Coordinate with external partners, internal teams and executive management to make optimal decisions about team and product direction.
- Mentor, advise, and develop Associate Producers.
- Foster a culture of mutual-respect, openness, personal accountability, and fun.
Qualifications

- Significant experience implementing Agile Software Development processes and principles.

- Strong prioritization skills, both for your team and yourself.
- Ability to work effectively with off-site and remote teams, often for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable balancing the demands of business flexibility and team stability.
- A strong understanding of OKRs, KPIs, and how they interact.
- Strong communication skills with wide range of stakeholders
- Expertise with relevant documentation, project management, and bug tracking tools.
- Successful crisis and risk management experience
- Strong leadership experience
- 4+ yrs. Project management
- 3+ yrs. Agile experience
- 2+ yrs. Experience working with QA
Preferred Skills
- Relevant certifications (CSM, SAFe Agilist, etc)
- Experience scaling Agile Software Development efforts via SAFe, LeSS, or similar methodologies.
- Experience as a Release Train Engineer
- Expertise with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira, etc)
- 5+ years of experience in game development
