The Developer Tech team at Blizzard is built to empower and optimize the process of game development. We're seeking a Producer that will add their unique voice to our team and help us realize an ambitious yet realistic multi-year, multi-product roadmap. In this role you will work across Blizzard and partner with different teams to help deliver a world class development environment and provide a platform for our future.
As part of this role, you will work with experienced engineers to smooth and enhance the everyday workflow of your fellow developers. As an ideal candidate, you will have a strong technical background with a proven track record of learning new technology and processes quickly and efficiently. However, you will also understand through strong emotional intelligence and communication skills that being ideal is great, but rarely achievable. In this role you will be comfortable explaining the difference and telling us how your skills will help build a better Blizzard.

Responsibilities
- Own the tactical execution of our software development lifecycle, contribute to the strategic vision of Blizzard’s core technology
- Champion the adage of people above process, while ensuring that our processes meet our business needs
- Act as a live service owner, proactively driving issue prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, and root cause analysis
- Communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders to engage them in our products and services development
- Author technical documentation and explore new ways of communicating with a userbase of thousands of engineers
Requirements
- Strong technical background with a proven ability to pick up new challenges quickly and easily
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability in tackling new challenges, even when outside your immediate area of responsibility
- Able to develop long-term relationships across partner teams anywhere within the organization
- Knowledge of software development processes and strong project management skills
- Detail and process oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively under important deadlines
- Calm and deliberate within a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative
- Clear and concise communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Pluses
- Experience working with tools used to shipped AAA game title
- Experience with Windows, Linux, or Mac systems administration
- Experience with monitoring tools (eg. Grafana, Prometheus, InfluxDB)
- Familiarity with development tools (eg. Visual Studio, make, gcc)
- Familiarity with cloud development (eg. GCP)
- Knowledge of what a stack trace is and how to use it
