When you are a Procurement Technician at Ubisoft Toronto you are responsible for the sourcing and acquisition of goods and services for our studio.
Through your great communication and collaboration skills, it is easy for you to develop strong relationships with internal clients and to provide them with excellent customer service and added-value solutions.
You are punctual, reliable and flawlessly follow-up with your client and partners, making sure everyone has proper visibility on the process, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The daily life of a Procurement Technician at Ubisoft Toronto
Manage Studio local sourcing needs
- Collaborate closely with internal clients in the definition of business needs, including quality objectives, costs and deadlines;
- Request quotes and conduct brief negotiations with suppliers;
- Create and distribute RFPs (Request For Proposal) and evaluate the corresponding bids for service;
- Fully utilize and improve the available tools to process purchasing requests;
- Ensure Ubisoft’s procurement workflow is respected and the process is followed;
- Create purchase orders and dispatch them to suppliers;
- Track delivery schedules and validate that a service is well received, that invoices match the purchase order and process any changes if applicable;
- Be the key contact between internal teams and suppliers
- Respect the highest level of ethical standards during negotiations;
- Process RMA’s (Return Merchandise Authorization).
Monitor Procurement Dashboard
- Ensure internal customers are aware of purchase request status;
- Follow-up with purchase approval requests;
- Guarantee that Procurement data repositories and databases are kept up to date.
Maintain and develop a quality relationship with suppliers
- Ensure suppliers are well informed of Ubisoft's procurement process, including details regarding orders, billing and deliveries;
- Synchronize efforts with the Montreal-based Procurement team when applicable;
- Ensure suppliers are performing to SLA’s (Service-Level Agreements).
Qualifications
Experience:
- College education or equivalent;
- Education or significant experience in a procurement role is ideal.
Other Skills:
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills;
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written);
- Strong organization and documentation skills;
- Autonomous team player;
- Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills;
- Innovator (challenge the status quo and drive change);
- Good knowledge of Excel and Office suite tools;
- Knowledge of an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system i.e. Peoplesoft (an asset)
- Bilingual in French (an asset)
- Customer service oriented;
- Good reporting capabilities;
- Punctual, reliable and flawless follow-up.
