In this critically important role, you will work closely with the leadership team to effectively define, plan, and deliver exciting innovations to delight our customers, internal and external partners. We will work as a team to fulfill commitments to the organization. Your style will be a highly strategic and facilitative one that requires a combination of focus and flexibility. You will show willingness to play an active role as a member of the leadership team. Working very closely with team this role requires a highly inventive individual with strong emotional intelligence, self-motivation, and deep analytical skills.

From day one, you will seek to improve our efficiency, streamline strategic initiatives, improve all aspects of program management and communicate objectives between departments. The ideal candidate will have validated experience in a business management role, with a special focus on advising and interdepartmental collaboration.

This position encompasses four primary responsibilities:

Planning:

Advance planning for, and facilitation of, “critical path” meetings. These will include updates to product requirements, negotiating with the team, partners, customers, or clients.

Work with Senior Staff to align their actions and communications to achieve agreed upon goals. Your role will be to work with us to ensure that needs, requirements, and commitments are clear, and that progress is being made in a timely way. Our team will ensure the issues and needs are conveyed and considered.

Communication:

Development of draft communication on behalf of the SVP and/or research in support of these efforts. Communications will range from strategic decks, weekly or monthly operations and technology updates, monthly notes to employees, and follow up correspondence related to the SVP’s various meetings with customers, employees, partners and internal teams.

Support the Senior Staff’s communications: The COS will help facilitate needed questions and decisions and which require agreement and feedback. S/he will support the needs of the team in their ability to raise critical issues receive needed responses, guidance and decisions. Resiliency, positive attitude, grit and drive will be important qualities

Strategic Initiatives:

Program Management / Orchestration of special projects or commitments directly involving the SVP, Senior Staff, and their direct reports and/or teams. This responsibility primarily focuses on ensuring alignment among global teams and when such alignment is absent, sharing this fact with us and recommending or executing mitigating approaches.

Cultural Leadership:

You will use your “story-telling” skills to help to reinforce the mission, vision and values of the organization, develop fellowship, build significant and trusted partnerships across the Senior Staff, key stakeholders, and deep into the organization.

Proactive identification of issues that could impact the successful execution of the organization’s commitments: This responsibility involves the ability to differentiate between signal and noise, then elevating those issues about which the SVP and Senior Staff should be aware and framing/positioning ideas to resolve the problem/mitigate the risk.
