Principal Software EngineerSummary
We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer, C++ expert, and a solid software contributor that loves making and playing fun and interesting games to join a team that lives to make the greatest games in the industry. You will be a Software Engineer, developing in C++. You will interact with stakeholders, present ideas, and provide design guidance for new features and games. You will need to design and implement software as part of a team and collaborate with many to create solutions that fit the game vision while maintaining the project schedule.What You'll Do
- Understand, debug and adapt software that was written over several years by countless other contributors
- Provide coaching, training and mentor of other software engineers
- Work closely with managers in planning of team projects by providing complexity and time estimates.
- Design and understand the game code base and remain aware of all features that are currently underway as well as planned in the future
- Interact with stakeholders from across the business, attending meetings and presenting solutions
- Maintain knowledge of core technologies, provide fellow developers technical guidance, identify new technological opportunities
- All other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Expert C++, experience with the latest C++ standards, and a minimum of 6 years of Object-Oriented Design and Development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven ability to keep projects on schedule
- Ability to debug C++ software in Linux with a GDB experience
- Ability to design and assist others in the design of the many new features that are being added
