Principal Level Designer - Design, Metaverse

Our metaverse group helps our partners realise their metaverse ambitions. The team’s expertise encompasses creative (concept and design), production (art and content), engineering (game development and Web3) and operations (dev and live).
At Improbable, you’ll collaborate with some of the best in the industry. Together, you’ll create unique, tailored experiences that stretch the boundaries of what’s possible in digital spaces and virtual worlds – and help define what the metaverse can be.
Your Opportunity:
- Create levels and environments that serve as an example for others to follow.
- Be accountable for areas of the game, encompassing multiple locations and gameplay types.
- Collaborate with System Designers to support gameplay mechanics.
- Have heavy involvement in the creation of level design processes, pipelines, and discipline.
- Work closely with the Art team to define the metrics and standards for the Level Design team to follow.
- Give constructive critique on the quality of the level design and environment art within the game.
- Mentor more junior designers throughout the design and implementation process.
- Solve problems and improve the player experience by collaborating closely with other disciplines.

- You display a high degree of discipline in following and creating design processes.
- You have an excellent understanding of moment-to-moment mechanics and player movement through levels.
- You can prioritize & manage end-to-end projects across the team, interfacing with different disciplines.
- You're passionate about creating guides, and other important documentation for more junior designers.
- You're familiar with one or more game engines or packages, e.g.: Unreal, Unity, etc
