Principal Gameplay Programmer

Avalanche Studios Group and its creative self publishing division, Expansive Worlds are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Principal Programmer. The role can be based out of the beautiful cities Malmö (Preferably) or Stockholm in Sweden (a relocation package is provided if required) and can be in office or hybrid. As a Principal programmer on this project you will be responsible for helping architect the codebase, keep systems on track to help create high quality and maintainable code. You’ll also be working alongside the project lead and central tech and advising on long term plans.

Required Qualifications

-8+ years of professional C++ work

-Comfortable in very large code bases

-Shipped Multiple Titles

-Strong maths skills

-Skilled in software design and architecture

-Self-motivated, able to work independently

-Excellent problem solving skills

-Excellent debugging skills

-The ability to abstract required systems out of game designs

-Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team and dependable

-Communication skills and ability to work in a team

Beneficial Experience

-Technical Writing experience

-Knowledge of UML Diagrams

-Knowledge of User Experience

-Experience with in-house engines
