Post Production Supervisor

Epic Games is looking for an experienced Post Production Supervisor to oversee, maintain and optimize the delivery pipeline of video produced at the studio. This role will be responsible for developing a workflow, leading best-in-class processes and upholding standards for a multitude of video content versions and exports across many different publishing platforms.
Additionally, the Post Production Supervisor will have proven technical video production experience to educate, enforce and guide standards in the realm of colorspace, compression, finishing, and grading.
Responsibilities :
- Managing Epic Games’ video post-production efforts as the team continues to deliver hundreds of video exports on a weekly basis
- Developing, distributing and updating best-in-class documentation relating to post-production workflow and process
- Leading the post-production group’s efforts regarding shared network resources, workstation standards, software updates, archiving and storage
- Working with producers and Sr. Video Editors to optimize editorial processes
- Maintaining technical standards across the video department, continuously audit industry best-practices and optimize often
- Working with out-of-house agencies and groups to increase productivity, process and, workflow. This includes working with vendors on software, hardware and other types of purchases to solve workflow challenges and or optimize the group
- Overseeing the post-production archive and content library
- Working with Post Production Associate Producers and editors on video localization, versioning and, exports
- Occasionally managing on-site event post-production in the form of technical guidance/colorspace standards, DIT workflow, etc
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in a production management/post-production role for television broadcast, cable network, film and or digital media
- 5+ years of technical production and or video engineering experience with in-depth knowledge of colorspace, editorial post, finishing and grading
- Familiarity with localization practices, ability to work with a team to oversee versioning flow
- Experience managing vendors and out of house entities
- Knowledge of web-based platform delivery specs (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Tik-Tok, etc), compression standards and how to optimize video for these platforms
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant post-production software
- Team player and educator willing to work with a vast collection of personalities at a range of experience levels
- Excellent communication, both verbal and in written formats
- Occasional travel required
