Player Network - Experience Designer (contract)
THE ROLE:
EA is looking for a skilled experience designer responsible for shaping and creating world class experiences that focus on around-game experiences. This includes designing for activities such as game discovery, friend gameplay invites, downloads, and purchases. You will be working closely on our latest iterations of products and services that span across the entire EA ecosystem - including PC desktop, mobile, and console.
Experience designers are responsible for crafting world-class visual designs expressed through our internal design system. You will be contributing back new components to our design system, and helping other designers on the team make the highest quality designs possible.
A SAMPLE OF WHAT TO EXPECT:
- Working closely with UX leadership, product managers, and engineering to define UX requirements
- Helping to define the reusable components that make up our products and services
- Supporting Senior staff in working with peers, stakeholders to drive user-centered design principles and methodologies
- Championing UX team initiatives, such as creation of design guidelines, process enhancements, design systems and more
YOU’RE SKILLED AT:
- Creating thorough documentation of interactions, user flows, and information architectures
- Applying design best practices to your work
- Working within brand, interaction, and technical constraints
- Staying up to date with current online product best practices
- Collaborating. You know how to communicate decision-making rationale to team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Bachelor ’ s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years professional user experience design practice
- Demonstrable experience in visual design principles and tools
Bonus Points:
- Passion for video games
- Experience designing for desktop applications
- Experience with creating design prototypes
