DevOps Engineer
The Technical Services department provides technical support and services to aid BBI’s development of high quality games. Reporting to the platform and automation lead, you will develop and maintain automated systems and processes to maximize the effectiveness of our game teams and their ability to make data-guided decisions.
Responsibilities
- Work with the rest of the team to improve our Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to increase the speed, reliability and effectiveness of our game build and test processes.
- Maintain and optimize existing build and test automation infrastructure and environments. This includes providing support for build and test system issues as well as ensuring their stability and availability.
- Cultivate observability in our new and existing automations and systems
- Develop tools and solutions that benefit multiple teams.
- Participate in the design and development of our internal platform for self-service automation of build deployments, production telemetry, and other business operations.
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2 + years of experience with CI/CD and automation using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
- A strong understanding of source control and code compilation related workflows.
- Excellent verbal and written English; able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A solid understanding of DevOps methodology and best practices, and a keen desire to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
- Experience scripting and developing tools using languages such as C#, Python, or Powershell.
- Experience with configuration-as-code tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or SaltStack.
- Familiarity with game development and game engine is a plus.
