Your responsibilities will include developing a cohesive infrastructure strategy tailored to the diverse needs of game teams, leveraging existing AWS solutions and Amazon Game Studio centralized solutions.

Additionally, you will drive clear business strategies for the utilization of AWS and infrastructure automation, while managing relationships with AGS engineering teams to advocate for infrastructure, tooling, and security needs. As the main point of contact for AWS partners on AGS Infrastructure topics, you will foster strong collaborations to ensure the success of our live game operations. Key job responsibilities
- Collaborate with technical leaders within Amazon Games to establish robust development and product infrastructure for the various development studios.
- Partner closely with internal technical teams, including Database Engineering, Infosec, Operations, and Development services, to align goals and establish necessary infrastructure.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring a balance between company requirements and game developer needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Amazon Games technical administration, overseeing the creation and maintenance of a standardized infrastructure "Paved Road" for studio-wide services such as infrastructure pipelines, deployment, and AWS configuration.
- Lead the continued development and operation of the Amazon Games Studio (AGS) Platform Engineering team.

Basic Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in provisioning or managing AWS workloads.
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
- Professional experience designing, operating cloud-based solutions.
- Proficiency in game security matters, including defining and managing penetration testing for software applications and cloud-based environments.
- Strong ability to identify and address risks proactively, offering well-considered mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and partner management skills.
- Passion for video games.

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of operations experience in the game industry (technical operations, DevOps, etc.), with a focus on infrastructure-as-code solutions, streamlining developer workflow tools, especially around CI/CD and server provisioning or environment management.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a technical service provider role, preferably within a game company, supporting live service games with continuous client and OTA deployments.
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
- Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers.
- Experience with a programming or scripting language (TypeScript/Javascript or Python preferred).
- Able to adapt to new technologies, learn quickly, and manage high ambiguity.
- AWS Solution Architecture certification or relevant cloud expertise.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $258,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
