The Opportunity
Unity's Ziva Dynamics team is searching for a Pipeline Technical Director, reporting to Ziva’s Senior Manager, Graphics Engineering!
We are looking for a candidate to help our teams build the world's most realistic characters for AAA games and films.
Do you have experience working with different production environments building pipeline tools? Are you able to distill requirements from technical teams into simple, intuitive, automated workflows? Are you interested in contributing to defining and building workflows for machine learning, simulation and data processing?

What you’ll be doing
- Work with the Head of 3D and a multi-functional team including artists, engineers and IT, to assess and define opportunities for workflow automation to improve production efficiency
- Develop new pipeline tools and automated workflows and optimize existing ones for efficiency and scalability of production
- Document all development workflows and train teams to use the pipeline toolset
- Work with producers to lead requirements, tasks and outcomes for pipeline production.
What we’re looking for
- Experience building pipelines for feature films and/or AAA games
- Solving sophisticated technical problems and contributing to the development of proprietary tools and pipelines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment, where you contribute back as much as you will learn in an environment that fosters creative problem solving and experimentation.
- Proficient knowledge of DCC tools such as Maya and Shotgrid, as well as experience using AWS, Deadline or similar cloud-based render farms
You might also have
- Experience using Unity or real-time engines in areas related to rendering and graphics
- A curiosity about and willingness to learn new emerging technologies to help solve sophisticated technical and creative problems
