Pipeline Developer, Assets R&D

This is a technical position in a dynamic atmosphere, with projects and responsibilities that constantly evolve in the crucible of movie and TV production. Organisation and passion will be key to your success in this role, you’ll need to have an eye for working toward long term solutions while simultaneously delivering immediate functionality.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate with your team to design, develop, maintain and support artist-facing tools and the back-end systems that support them.
• Interact directly with the artists in the Modelling, Layout, Virtual Art Production and Facial Modelling/Rigging departments to support them in their day to day mission to deliver incredible looking images to the client.
• Work closely with other developers, engineers, and TDs from and across the organisation to complete projects that span the length of the production pipeline.

What we’re looking for

We need candidates with:

• An industry related degree or equivalent experience as a developer
• Intermediate to Advanced Python skills with experience in PySide/PyQt and interacting with database services
• Experience using Maya, Houdini, or similar DCCs and their APIs

You might also have

• Production experience as an Artist/TD in VFX, Animation, or similar production pipelines
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Agile practices
• Expertise in other development languages
