People Operations Assistant
Remote – US and Canada only
As a People Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day activities of the People Operations (HR) department. You will assist in various HR functions, contribute to employee engagement initiatives, and ensure the smooth operation of HR processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Onboarding:
- Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Help coordinate orientation sessions and assist in completing new hire paperwork.
- Data Management:
- Maintain HR databases and employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Generate reports as needed and assist in data analysis for HR metrics.
- Benefits Administration:
- Support benefits administration tasks, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Assist employees with benefit-related questions and provide information on available programs.
- Employee Relations:
- Assist in handling employee inquiries and concerns, escalating to HR managers when necessary.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training sessions and development programs.
- Assist in tracking employee training completion and maintaining training records.
- HR Documentation:
- Assisting in preparing and maintaining HR documents, including offer letters, contracts, and policies.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
- Payroll Administration:
- Gather and examine timesheets to ensure their validity and compliance with local state law.
- Ensuring PTO requests are calculated accordingly and are approved in a timely manner.
- Assist in generating payroll reports, such as invoices and registries.
- Addressing first-level inquiries about payroll-related issues.
- Events and Recognition Programs:
- Assist in implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Compliance:
- Stay informed about labor laws and HR best practices to ensure compliance.
- Assist in implementing and updating HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an administrative or HR support role is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 USD to $75,000 USD annually, with the
opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. This salary range is an estimate, and
the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
Employees in this position are eligible to participate in the Company’s standard
employee benefit programs, which currently include the following: medical, dental, vision,
401k, and paid time off.
