People Director

Fire Without Smoke is a creative and marketing studio solely for the games industry. We are currently looking for a full-time People Director to join the Studio. The successful candidate will be tasked with enriching people’s experience at Fire Without Smoke, helping them develop and perform at their best and ensuring they are happy and thriving within their roles.

Fire Without Smoke is an advertising agency, design studio and production partner all in one.

We’re the go-to for blockbuster heavyweights, because we know games inside out. We are made up of an eclectic team of gaming experts, storytellers, engine tinkerers, designers and problem solvers.

Requirements

Day to day you’ll:

• Build strong relationships with the team to provide ongoing guidance and support
• Envision and drive a positive company culture by running activities and initiatives
• Lead and manage performance management
• Lead and manage recruitment
• Lead and manage onboarding and offboarding
• Manage day to day team presence, annual leave and sick days using Timetastic
• Run monthly team research using Officevibe and implement plans off the back of this
• Manage and support the use of Juno and Appraisd
• Work with the Head of Studio to drive exec team growth and performance
• Manage and improve HR systems and general procedures
• Work closely with Keyword Studios to ensure HR procedures are aligned
• Maintain current best practises and processes regarding health and safety
• Manage and continue to improve the overall working environment including WFH

You are:

• Able to multitask across different projects
• Able to lead, coordinate and collaborate with different stakeholders

You’ll need:

• 4+ years experience running HR / People functions within a creative company
• 2+ years experience managing offices
