Partnerships Brand Manager- San Mateo
As the Partnerships Brand Manager at SIE, you will provide support to the Global Brand Partnerships team, helping to execute collaborations and deliver meaningful activations that drive PlayStation brand affinity and expand the brand to new audiences.
This position will offer an exciting opportunity to work with non-endemic brand partners (CPG, QSR, apparel, etc.) and media/tech companies (social platforms, TV/Video apps, streaming services, etc.) in unique ways that help extend the reach of the PlayStation brand. We’re looking for someone hungry and passionate about the consumer marketing space with a strong knowledge of gaming, sports, entertainment, music, and culture.
Responsbilities:
- Manage execution of select Brand Partnership programs for key marketing beats across Hardware, Masterbrand, Exclusive Games, and other areas of the business as needed.
- Work cross functionally with internal and external partners to drive Brand Partnership programs end to end; Including engagement with Legal, Creative, Software, Publisher, and Brand teams for program/asset review, feedback, and overall alignment.
- Lead brand partnership program tasks and monitor deadlines for deliverables.
- Manage delivery of promotional assets needed for partnerships and activation programs.
- Support the team with various other projects as needed (research, campaign analysis, program recaps, etc.).
- Provide regular program updates to project partners
- Manage Global Territory Liaison Team requests specific to Brand Partnerships and work with Brand Partnerships Distributed Team to coordinate Territory requests
- Manage, vet, and regularly update Territory requests & maintain Territory Toolkit
- Liaise with external marketing agencies and suppliers where appropriate
- Budget management, contract requests, vendor payments, and reporting as needed to support the group
Qualifications:
- BA/BS Required (Marketing or Business Degree Preferred)
- 5+ years’ experience in a partnerships capacity; gaming, sports/entertainment, or brand marketing strongly preferred
- Motivated self-starter with a passion for gaming and/or working in the video game industry, plus a passion or interest in creating unique brand activations/partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills with experience multitasking and managing various projects at once.
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with the team, internal cross-functional groups, and potentially external partners, all while in a high-pressure environment.
- Well versed in pop culture, sports trends, relevant brands a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking/solutions oriented
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to tell a “story” through presentations.
- MS office, proficiency in excel, word and PowerPoint
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus.
