We are looking for a Paralegal - Contract Administration & Compliance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our family of studios with best-in-class support for legal needs. You will review and negotiate a variety of agreements, collaborating with our lawyers and leveraging your own expertise to find solutions that enable our creative and business goals while mitigating unnecessary risk and exposure. You will be empowered to evolve our legal processes in intelligent ways to improve operational efficiency and quality of service to our internal customers. Your creative problem-solving ability and dedication to helping our studios succeed in navigating complex, multicultural legal questions will play a critical role in the creation of revolutionary interactive experiences.
Who You Are:
- You have experience as a paralegal or contracts manager working on commercial contracts and managing approval flows
- You maintain in-depth awareness of legal and regulatory principles affecting media, game, and technology businesses
- You demonstrate exceptional judgment in making decisions on issues that arise in legal agreements
- You have an unwavering attention to detail and a passion for the organization
- You continuously pursue process improvement with a mind for scaling legal operations
- You can juggle competing priorities while also guiding larger projects to completion
- You are a fantastic collaborator on a team and comfortable operating fully autonomously when needed as well

What You Will Do:
- Act as the primary conduit for all contractual commitments and related communication
- Review and negotiate agreements with external business partners and suppliers
- Draft and negotiate contracts including those for production and creative services
- Provide strategic and practical advice to studios, summarizing and communicating legal concepts in a way that benefits production teams
- Track status of contracts, NDAs, and other agreements and facilitate renewals as needed
- Provide legal and compliance support to HR, Finance, and the ProbablyMonsters family of studios
- Maintain compliance calendar and drive program awareness and milestones
- Review in-game content for potential sources of legal risk
- Lead the copyright registration process for our intellectual property
- Anticipate and support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements
- Research and provide guidance on the applicability of existing and proposed laws, industry codes, and regulations
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years of demonstrated paralegal experience (preferably in the game, entertainment, or technology sectors)
- Experience working with outside legal counsel
- Clear, concise communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
- In-house experience at a media, game, advertising, or technology company a plus
- International legal experience and awareness of geopolitical issues a plus
- Experience designing, adapting, and implementing new processes and systems to build better ways of working as a legal or contracts team a huge plus
