About the Position
Twitch Advertising Sales is a global organization dedicated to providing major brand partners with compelling and effective customized media, sponsorship and event programs. The global sales org anization is comprised of business leaders, sellers, creative teams, engineers and product managers located globally across the US, EMEA and APAC regions (cities including San Francisco, Chicago, New York, London, Hamburg, Sweden, Japan and several others). This role will focus on preparing daily, weekly and monthly reporting for the sales organization. The role will assist with driving revenue-generating projects, conducting opportunity assessments, and helping to shape overall sales strategy and prioritization. During a typical week this role can expect to utilize multiple data systems to compile data sets, review data, uncover insights about the business, and present findings and proposals to management. The role will also be responsible for managing operational tasks and resolving business-related matters on an ongoing basis.
The ideal candidate will feel equally comfortable heads-down in data and leading projects to completion, and will thrive in an environment of rapid context-switching. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across the entire organization including Partnerships, Content, Marketing, Ad Product, Engineering, Finance and Legal to develop and understand deep knowledge of Twitch’s business. You will translate this kno wledge into building key parts of the Advertising Sales organization. Current and ongoing work spans the following areas: sales strategy, strategic planning, operations, process creation, process improvement, international expansion strategy, as well as internal and ad hoc reporting. As one of the first key hires to support a growing senior business team within sales, you will be playing a key role in shaping the way the global organization reports on activities and ultimately grows its business.
Responsibilities
- Support management in strategic, operational planning and ensure decisions in line with overall Twitch goals
- Frame and break down complex business problems into key components, design analysis to drive insights and answers to critical questions, and recommend practical solutions to get results
- Manage and supervise global media planning in conjunction with yield/pricing team
- Build and track strategic media planning/packaging; serving as primary resource for the team
- Regularly report on and draw insights from campaign results by vertical, building a playbook for future campaigns and roll out to teams
- Partner with ad product team and engineering to inform strategy and product roadmap with media client needs
- Assist in client upfront strategy, maximizing brand value and internal revenue for media and business development partnerships
- Be the trusted advocate of internal teams for upcoming media and sponsorship opportunities
- Catch unanticipated issues that arise along the way and see them through to resolution
- Provide wide-range of various reporting deliverables to multiple stakeholders; ad-hoc reporting
- Strong business partner; cross-functional collaboration with internal groups including Partnerships, Content, Marketing, Ad Product, Finance and Legal
Requirements
- Self-motivated, highly analytical, data-driven, and has exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Deep experience in financial modelling, data analysis, and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making
- Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience effectively communicating with senior management
- Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments
- Experience with Salesforce.comAt least 2 years of experience managing a team
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Expert in Excel, PowerPoint, G Suite
Bonus Points
- Understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements (namely the P&L or Income Statement)
- Expertise working with large datasets and digging through data
- Familiarity with Salesforce Einstein and Salesforce Analytics
- Advertising / Media / agency experience is a plus
