The Gearbox Entertainment Company is adding to its PR team! We are currently seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to join our communications team and help further our company mission of entertaining the world. This is a full-time, on-site position at a fun, growing company, with excellent benefits. In this position, you will report to the Director of Public Relations and be responsible for:
- Working directly with studio leadership to create needle-moving campaigns that promote our differentiators in a highly competitive industry.
- Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with general consumer, business, and financial press, in addition to outside partnerships with third party vendors as needed.
- Researching and developing high-level PR campaigns and strategies for key business verticals, including Gearbox Studios, Publishing, and Software.
- Helping manage ongoing PR agency relationships and expand the team’s relationship with key internal stakeholders through coverage flags and reports.
- Handling general press inquiries and interview requests while landing key feature stories about our leadership and business.
- Becoming the primary point of contact for internal teams participating in public or communications-focused opportunities.
- Assisting with daily operations of the Communications team.
- Assisting in a variety of event logistics.
- Aiding in tracking budget and expenses.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or comparable industry experience.
- 3-4 years of experience of public relations work in the video game industry or at an agency with technology clients.
- Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative, champions projects, and generate desired outcomes.
- Excellent writing, creative, and strategic thinking skills.
- Organized with good time management.
- Strong and enthusiastic communication skills.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop, & Outlook.
