PR & Events Manager

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced PR & Events Manager to help us bring our new AAA game IP, Everywhere ™, to market.
Reporting to the Global Communications/PR Director, this role is responsible for helping manage all our consumer events and public relations outreach communications in support of Build a Rocket Boy and Everywhere ™.
As our new PR & Events Manager, you’re a flexible, adaptable and outgoing professional who thrives on making connections and keeping your finger on the pulse of the industry. You know the news before it breaks and the levers to pull which generate the intended coverage.
Responsibilities
- Building an effective internal and external communications plan including strategy, goals, budget, and tactics.
- Managing and coordinating our company & consumer events. Working with internal teams and external agencies to ensure the smooth running of an event schedules and individual events. For example, handling logistics, budgets and vendors for booth setup, demo stations, industry conferences and game showcases (e.g. E3, Gamescom)
- Manage media inquiries, interview requests and public speaking engagements.
- Draft copy for internal messaging as-well-as press releases, byline articles and keynote presentations.
- PR campaign supervision including embargos, exclusives, cover deals and any other promotional opportunities.
- The ability to work in partnership with relevant PR and Communications agencies and help them execute our objectives.
- The integration of PR & Events plans with Brand Marketing, Influencer and Social Media plans, to ensure maximum impact and efficiency of campaigns.
- The management and supervision of press trips, including local Talent Tours.
- The distribution of press materials including EPKs, product demos, press releases and media packs.
- Monitor, analyse and communicate PR results via Coverage & Campaign reporting, including quantitative and qualitative KPI assessments.
- The ability to demo our videogames both internally and to external partners/media.
- Experience with crisis management.
Requirements
- Excellent understanding of PR principles, planning and strategy, with demonstrable skills in these areas.
- A portfolio that includes several successful PR campaigns in the games and/or broader entertainment industries.
- Experience in event management; researching venues and delivering on event brief objectives.
- Creative flair, with demonstrable examples of the management of creative, break-out campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extremely well organised, with strong administrational skills. An ability to multi-task is essential.
- A dedication to professionalism including self-presentation, time keeping, strong work ethic and a desire to continually self-improve and be innovative.
- Accountability and budget responsibility.
- Open to local and international travel as required.
