In the role of PR and Events Manager Europe, you will support a broad selection of media campaigns. As a part of this you will be expected to focus on PR, consumer, trade, and sales events across the European business. You will also help support and grow the existing annual event schedule and create opportunities from which you, and the wider communications team, will generate positive editorial coverage and amplify the European group’s business goals. Such initiatives will align with the broader PR objectives of sustaining and growing media relations - whether these be through direct and/or indirect contact (e.g. partner relations and/or asset management), or via conferences and events. In this role, you will work with Brand, Content, Community, Sales and Development teams to ensure that public and event-based brand messages remain impactful, consistent, timely and relevant.
Other responsibilities include relaying business management strategies to relevant stakeholders and participating in the coordination and implementation of press tours. Your involvement in game conventions and company showcases will also be required, as well as assisting territorial needs where third party partners distribute Bethesda titles.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of European PR and US global PR team to create PR and event strategies for all Bethesda Online games
- Help coordinate game campaign information across the ZEL territory offices
- Lead press, trade, consumer, sales and community events, both locally and globally as required
- Develop close relationships with the European and local communications teams
- Develop close relationships with all ZEL teams (Marketing, Sales, PR, Community)
- Work with the ZEL offices and International PR Managers to execute local plans that work for their markets
- Organise and manage press events and engage with elements of risk management within this
- Provide timely post-event and campaign evaluations and measure results against
agreed KPIs - Work with the ZEL Online Community Managers to maximise outreach – working closely with the wider team to help generate ideas and strategy around events
- Support the European Community Manager in event management – e.g. Twitch TV shows, eSports tournaments and larger community meet-and-greets
- Manage events budgets for all titles and assist in planning around annual PR expenditure
- Ad-hoc responsibilities including, but not limited to, attending local consumer and community events
- Show an understanding and awareness of competition from a PR, events and marketing campaign perspective, as well as an analytical appreciation of the quality of these titles
Requirements:
- Minimum five years European video game publisher experience
- Minimum three years proven event management success
- Troubleshooting experience with the ability to remain level-headed under pressure
- Knowledge and experience of Bethesda games
- Knowledge of competitor products
- Established relationships with media and events agencies
- Highly organised with the flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage workflow and priorities to meet deadlines
- Good writing, communication and problem-solving skills
