Job Description
The PMO Analyst (Senior) reports to the IT PMO Manager, Portfolios. Within the Ubisoft IT department, the Project Management Office acts as the hub for all information relating to project and portfolio management (PPM). The PMO also supports IT governance by introducing PPM guidelines and best practices and encouraging their adoption by the organization.
The incumbent will have a proven track record within a medium/large enterprise PMO, focusing on IT or technology departments. He will need superior analytical skills to identify issues and opportunities in the IT portfolio, and an aptitude for solving complex problems quickly and effectively. A keen eye for detail and a passion for quality is essential. Great communication skills will be required to positively influence and lead the organization towards maturity.
Responsibilities:
This expert role will be accountable for the following:
- Analyse project and portfolio data, develop metrics & benchmarks, and provide insightful reporting
- Participate in the improvement of project and portfolio management methodologies
- Position the PMO as a trusted partner by striving for excellence and communicating with conviction
- Encourage PPM maturity by coaching and influencing the IT Management community
- Support processes and standards documentation activities in a centralized PMO knowledge base
- Lead small projects in partnership with other teams, as needed
- Seek out opportunities to improve IT business management activities
- Carry out all other related tasks
Qualifications
Relevant Experience:
- 8+ years of relevant work experience (e.g. project management, PMO support, business analysis)
- Experience working in a PMO group is strongly preferred
- Experience working within an IT department or related environment is strongly preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of Excel required, macro programming experience preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of collaboration tools (e.g. SharePoint, Confluence, JIRA)
- Experience supporting a PPM system (e.g. CA Clarity, Planview, Planisware) desired
- PMP or similar certifications strongly desired
Skills:
- Bilingualism (English/French)
- Highly motivated and with demonstrable leadership attributes
- Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills
- Extremely diligent and attentive to details
- Effective communicator at all levels with excellent English writing skills
- Ability to cope under pressure and balancing multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of project management and IT governance (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, PMBOK, Scrum)
- Strong understanding of financial planning and budgeting desired
Travel:
- This position may require to travel overseas occasionally
