PC TECHNICIAN
2K Vegas is looking for an enthusiastic, talented, and personable computers and AV fan to join our Las Vegas studio based IT group and work as a PC Technician. Primary job functions are to oversee hardware assets, work with mastering and production groups to assist in build mastering, equipment setup and learn the Help Desk systems. Applicants will be highly motivated and organized, able to work as part of a team, and willing to learn from a talented and diverse team around them. Reports to the Help Desk Supervisor / Systems Administrator.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary IT support, coordinating with existing IT staff to diagnose and resolve hardware / software issues on PC workstations, Macs, and Dell servers
- Day-to-day administration of Windows server environment: AD, DNS, DHCP, related applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues (including VPN support)
- Use imaging and deployment tools such as SCCM to insure workstations and applications are deployed in a standardized manner
- Build and deploy computer workstations and associate software packages
- Work with computer workstation hardware and putting together computer workstations
- Manage hardware inventories to organize, label, and provide asset tracking for various computer and A/V hardware
- Provide timely and creative solutions to difficult problems
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess a thorough understanding of consumer-level audio and video systems
- Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems & troubleshooting
- Posses a thorough understanding of principles of TCP/IP based networks
- Knowledge of computer workstation functionality and components
- Dedication, teamwork and professionalism
- The ability to handle high pressure situations and deal with ambiguity
- Will need to be able to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, and mandatory overtime
- Capable of working weekends, and occasional holidays
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, walk to all departments / floors, bend over, kneel, climb ladders and crawl under confined spaces periodically
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. occasionally and unassisted
Desired Qualifications:
- Some familiarity of game development systems is advantageous
- Familiarity with hardware/software asset tracking and inventory systems
- Interest and knowledge of games and game development
