The Role
We are looking for an External Development Operations Manager to join the External Development team within the ProbablyMonsters Product Group. In this role, you will partner with our game development teams to plan for external support needs, identify and onboard new vendors into our ecosystem, and serve as the bridge between ProbablyMonsters and our ever-growing pool of industry-leading external collaborators. You will maintain close relationships with our key partners, helping to ensure their success as well as that of our products, and hire additional staff as needed over time to coordinate and project-manage outsourcing efforts on behalf of our family of studios. You will also serve as the primary internal liaison for central teams like Finance and Legal in support of external engagements across a variety of game development disciplines.

What You Will Do
- Proactively identify, screen, and onboard new external partners with the potential to fulfill current or future support needs across a broad range of disciplines
- Assist teams in selecting the best partners to address their specific needs, providing introductions and facilitating RFI/RFQ/RFP processes as needed
- Oversee the execution, tracking, and integration of work outsourced on behalf of development teams
- Facilitate bidirectional feedback between teams and external partners on project performance and potential ways to improve quality, efficiency, and future collaboration
- Manage external capacity planning through close and regular communication with production staff and our pool of preferred vendor partners
- Maintain robust, up-to-date partner information within our internal database
- Function as an account manager for external partners, removing roadblocks to their success and ensuring a positive experience in their engagements with ProbablyMonsters
- Organize and facilitate regular business reviews with key external partners
Qualifications
- 3+ years of production, project management, or outsource management experience in the video game industry
- 3+ years of proven experience hiring, managing, and mentoring teams
- Experience partnering with distributed global teams
- Familiarity with source control systems like Perforce
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and judgment
- Exposure to a wide variety of game development disciplines highly desirable
