Iron Galaxy is looking for an Operations Manager to work in our Orlando studio as the lead of our Florida-based operations team. We need a motivated team member who is proactive, detail-oriented, solutions-focused, and results-driven. If you possess the qualities listed below, please apply.
The Operations Manager facilitates day-to-day operations, delegates tasks, creates solutions, contributes to onboarding, and shepherds support at our Orlando studio. This position is often asked to collaborate on initiatives across our teams, departments, and any locations where Iron Galaxy hires. We’re seeking an expert people person and task manager to join our ranks and support game creation at the highest level.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage Iron Galaxy’s Orlando operations department.
- Fulfill the requests of internal/external partners.
- Supervise work, and delegate, while not being afraid to get your hands dirty.
- Ensure storage spaces are well organized and adhere to set visual standards.
- Oversee security & access control in the Orlando office.
- Effectively represent the company as a point of contact for visitors and vendors.
- Proactively maintain studio supply levels & document systems functions.
- Schedule administrative functions and company travel through approved applications.
- Ideate, organize, and set up company events in collaboration with each studio.
- Monitor facilities projects and schedule preventative maintenance.
- Maintain communications and a relationship with building/property management.
- Preserve studio inventory through the utilization of approved methods and systems.
- Perform shipping and receiving functions while sustaining appropriate logs/tracking.
- Track department budget goals through accurate reports on spending.
DESIRED SKILLS
- Approachable with excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Familiarity with Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to learn and adopt new applications as needed.
- Ability to lift packages and/or equipment that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Capacity to manage multiple objectives simultaneously and adapt as priorities change.
- Knowledge of IT and HR practices to foster great interdepartmental processes.
- Experience in researching and implementing new systems.
- Proficiency in schedule management and booking travel.
- Budgeting and expense reporting experience.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
