Onsite Swing Shift Junior Systems Analyst

Blur Studio is looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic Junior Systems Administrator to provide help desk support and assist with daily Systems Department operations from Wednesday through Saturday, 8 am to 7 pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Configure computer systems, diagnose hardware and software issues and solve technical and application problems
- Monitor computer systems and networks
- Assist in the maintenance of IT services to all Blur staff, ensuring that they run effectively and issues are repaired
- Work with the Systems team to manage, upkeep, and ensure the accuracy of our Asset Management System
- Respond to problems promptly, escalating issues where necessary to senior staff
- Ensure effective performance of software packages throughout the company
- Respond to production and IT infrastructure issues.
- Communicate with the team and other departments for any IT support-related issues
- Provide support to external clients as required
- Provides physical support for the movement of equipment around the facility
- Occasional after-hours and weekend support is also required
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science and/or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize tasks
- Certification or significant experience in Windows/Linux platforms
- TV, VFX, or post-production experience
- Familiarity with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of relevant software packages including Maya, Houdini, Nuke, VRay, and other industry-specific software
- Python, Perl, or Bash scripting knowledge
- Networking, switches, and routing technologies experience is a plus
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. and able to work onsite in our Culver City studio.
Rate will be based on experience level.
Compensation: $45,000-$60,000/yr
