Senior Web Application Engineer

DIGIT is Ireland’s largest games developer, home to a talented team of over 80 people from all over the world and the creators of free-to-play MMO mobile strategy games. Our first game, Kings of the Realm, became a top grossing game in over 50 countries. Our latest project Star Trek™ Fleet Command, is an immersive F2P mobile MMO, which launched worldwide in November 2018 and continues to top the charts across the globe. DIGIT is part of Scopely, with studios in LA, Barcelona, London and Tokyo.

We are looking for a creative and highly motivated Senior Web Application Engineer to join the DIGIT Platform Team.

The Platform is essential for empowering monumental next-gen MMORTS and Empire-Building games played by millions of mobile gamers. Your responsibilities would include building cutting-edge web tools with industry leading UI/UX for our Game Designers, Game Operators, Analysts and Community Managers.

The day-to-day activities will involve designing and developing web applications and tools, focusing on high quality user experience, as well as contributing to technical plans and discussing the workflows and requirements with stakeholders.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• A deep understanding of ES6 standard JavaScript and best practices
• 4+ Experience delivering production quality, highly performant web application interfaces
• 4+ Years Experience using JavaScript Application Frameworks: AngularJS, Angular2+, Vue.js or similar
• Experience configuring and developing with modern web technologies: Typescript, WebPack, Node.js, SCSS, etc.
• Experience designing and building Web Applications based on User Centered Design principles
• A Full understanding of how to build and deploy RESTful services
• You've developed and co-designed web frontend tools and interfaces
• You’ve developed secure web applications
• A great tech communicator who knows how to share knowledge with non-technical people
• A desire to seek out and take on user feedback to drive world class application development
