Programmer - Online (C++)

Reporting to the Online Programming Team Lead, you will be involved in setting up and developing the architecture of online projects. Among other things, you will be tasked with participating in the design, implementation, and integration of services for various online features such as monetization, game progression, matchmaking, etc.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, integrate and test services that enable games to access online functionality;
- Work closely with the gameplay and network programmers to ensure proper functioning with other game components;
- Provide technical guidance and empower game designers to realize their vision and ambition;
- Maintain a technology watch on best practices and new technologies in online services and the web in order to provide the best online experience.
Experience & Qualifications
- A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent;
- Experience developing online components in a game;
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, C++, Kubernetes, and Docker;
- Experience with back-end services and in a DevOps environment (or other relevant experience);
- Knowledge of Gitlab, Git or Perforce;
- Knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an asset;
- Knowledge of Python or .NET Core is an asset;
- Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases is an asset;
- Knowledge of online services such as Playfab, Vivox, AccelByte is an asset;
- Experience in developing on Sony and Microsoft consoles is an asset.
