Job Description
We are currently looking for an Online Programmer to help us design and program the low-level bricks of the network engine and the multiplayer mechanics associated with the gameplay of our new title.
What you'll do on a daily basis:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend features using Go, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Implement database solutions, including the creation of indexes, to enhance overall system efficiency
- Develop and maintain online services such as matchmaking, leaderboards, and other multiplayer functionalities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate online services seamlessly into the gaming experience
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the backend systems, ensuring a smooth and responsive gaming experience for players
- Work on the Network stack and real-time multiplayer gameplay Develop and maintain the game servers Help develop additional online services
- Work closely with game designers, artists, and other programmers to integrate online features seamlessly into the overall game design
- Who you'll interact with: You will report to our Lead Online Programmer, who will guide you in your work and support your professional growth all the while interacting with the other teams in the studio.

What you'll need to succeed:
- Proven experience as a backend programmer with expertise in Go programming language.
- Strong understanding of database management, including index creation and optimization.
- Prior experience in developing and maintaining online services, such as matchmaking and leaderboards.
- Proficiency in networking protocols and server-client architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
Some cool nice-to-haves:
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for scalable backend solutions.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Previous experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
