Network Operations Engineer

Sony Interactive Entertainment LLC seeks a Network Operations Engineer in Aliso Viejo, CA to provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers in interpreting and reacting to network events. Requires a Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent, and two (2) years of experience enhancing global backbone and datacenter infrastructures. Prior experience must include two (2) years of analyzing application data and traffic flow data to identify and improve on sub-optimal network behaviors; working with network fundamentals including TCP/IP, Ethernet, Addressing/Subnetting, and VLANs; implementing service provider IGPs; developing backbone and edge routing policies, engineering and operations in a multi-transit, multi-peer environment; performing network engineering, operations and deployment; working with core backbone routers, layer 2 and layer 3 switches, Juniper MX, QFX, and EX series platforms, MPLS-TE, IPV6, cluster networking, CLOS fabrics, router firewall policies and optical media; and, using BGP in a global network environment including understanding how routes disseminate in the Internet via peerings including Transit, Peering Exchanges, and Internet Exchanges. **The employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the alternative.**Send resumes to SNEI-Job-Postings@am.sony.com & indicate job code WH449515.
