ABOUT US: Archiact Interactive is a Vancouver-based Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) Studio that develops new and unique ways for people to play games and interact with each other. We partner with IP holders, large publishers, and tech brands to create and deliver immersive, high-end game experiences across multiple platforms with a special focus on building new tools for cutting edge emerging technology.

OUR GAMES: Recent titles include DOOM 3: VR Edition (on PSVR), FREEDIVER: Triton Down (on PC, PSVR and Oculus Quest), and MARVEL: Dimension of Heroes (a smartphone-powered Superhero experience built for Lenovo Mirage AR). ROLE OVERVIEW : We are looking for a Narrative Producer who enjoys working on an agile and fast paced team that is bringing high quality VR/AR projects to life. This is a fulltime, 12 months fixed-term contract position. We are a Vancouver-based studio but are happy to consider candidates from all over Canada to work remotely. We also offer relocation assistance to candidates outside of BC, Canada.

ABOUT YOU: You are comfortable working in a close-knit and collaborative team with a wide range of skill sets and personalities. You enjoy the creative problem-solving process required to bring original concepts and high-profile IPs to life in an immersive experience. You thrive in teams and are open to taking on new challenges to assist in raising the quality bar of the end product.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a multidisciplinary team of writers, narrative designers and animators.
  • Assist the Lead Writer in conveying the narrative vision and execution of the game's narrative across all disciplines.
  • Develop the narrative schedule, resource plan and manage external partners to ensure that all narrative is delivered on time and to AAA quality.
  • Manage the tasks, priority, and timeline for the Narrative Team as they create, implement, and polish the game’s narrative.
  • Drive the daily review process & through it manage narrative deliveries and iterations.
  • Track, monitor, and mitigate all dependencies for the Narrative Team and maintain communication at all times.
  • Coordinate all voice over sessions to ensure the script is locked, prepared, and sent out according to schedule.
  • Drive quality and innovation across all aspects of the narrative experience.
  • Manage both internal and outsourced content.

REQUIREMENTS:

MUST HAVE:

  • 3 - 5 year’s production experience in the video game industry.
  • Experience shipping at least 1 AAA quality game.
  • Production experience with a variety of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc.).
  • Experience managing development projects from concept all the way through to ship.
  • Experience managing multiple cross functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience managing game localization.
  • An understanding and passion for VR/AR.
  • Experience within a narrative discipline outside of production.
