Responsibilities
- The NOC Engineer is responsible for monitoring and supporting company production system and application-related issues
- The NOC Engineer would play a key role by coordinating operations and engineering teams in order to identify and triage outages, verify service impact to the users, send out status updates, dispatch the appropriate subject matter experts, liaising with 3rd party suppliers and identify root cause to implement a fix
- The working environment is intensive and demands working in irregular hours including 24/7 shifts
Requirements
- Good English skills both verbal and written, natural aptitude for dealing with people
- Basic knowledge of network technologies, connectivity, protocols. Ex: Router, switch, IP address, TCP/UDP, etc.
- Willingness to extra if the situations requires it.
- Basic databases knowledge. What's a database, types of databases, examples, etc.
- Strong delivery orientation (experience in working in B2C environment is an advantage)
- Organizational skills with the ability to multitask in order to handle multiple tasks in a real-time environment
- Strong analytical skills and able to collect and interpret data from various sources
- Ability to assess and priorities faults and respond or escalate accordingly
- Fast-learner
Nice to have:
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good academic background with a degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Computing or relevant subject
- Experience in a Technical support or similar role
- Experience in working with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Nagios, Icinga)
