Moderator - Player and Quality Insights Team
We are looking for a UX Research Moderator to join our team, who is passionate about research aimed at creating fun and innovative user experiences for all of our players. Your role involves uncovering user needs through collaborating with cross-functional teams, and conducting different methods of research studies in our labs and remotely. In addition, you will be partnering with a team of researchers and project managers to conduct user studies. Your contributions will enhance the UX team's comprehension of creating more intuitive, accessible, and seamless user experiences. Join us in defining and advancing the future of our products.
Responsibilities
- Work with UXR Researchers to understand franchise research goals
- Gather data using different qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Support researchers with tasks like notetaking, light data analysis, tech troubleshooting, etc.
- Expected to moderate either singular or large groups of participants
- Aid with maintaining the research facilities (deploying game builds, configuring streaming applications)
Qualifications
- You have or are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in experimental psychology, HCI, human factors, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- Familiar with Windows and basic understanding of Excel and G Sheets
- Must be team-oriented with an ability to collaborate
- Can work semi-autonomously and take direction
- 1+ years of experience with public speaking in a professional setting is desirable
- 1+ years of experience requiring quick decision-making in a public-facing environment is desirable.
- 1+ years of experience in the game development, consumer, or entertainment software industry is desirable
- Experience as a lab research assistant desirable
- Experience in game or level design is desirable
- A passion for gaming
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $54,900 - $93,050 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
