Job Overview
The Game Technologies Department is part of the Wargaming Global Technology unit. We are a distributed team mainly based in Cyprus and specializing in prospective server solutions for massive multiplayer online games development.
Currently, the team consists of about 20 senior engineers and continues to grow. We are in high demand for internal Wargaming projects, and to ensure the high quality of our solutions, we have opened a new position for Middle Server Developer.
What will you do?
- Develop a meta server framework for MMO (massive multiplayer online) games
- Research and develop MMO game backends
- Maintain and keep the system documentation updated
- Integrate our solutions with third-party engines and platforms
What are we looking for?
- 2+ years of Python programming
- 2+ years of experience in server software development
- Experience of developing asynchronous/multithreaded applications
- Familiarity with databases, message brokers
- Experience of working with distributed systems
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English (verbal) and fluent Russian
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in computer science or related fields
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience with or willingness to learn Rust
- Experience with C++
- Game development experience
- Familiarity with Linux, Docker, Kubernetes
