Position Summary
Job Description Summary
Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle. Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules. Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.
Duties, Task and Responsibilities:
- Tracks and coordinates material requirements for internal and external customers
- Monitors and maintains lean inventory levels
- Establish appropriate delivery schedule for customer orders
- Monitors orders and informs cross-departmental teams of current status
- Coordinates with cross-departmental teams to ensure best customer service
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Leadership Skills: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Works on defined tasks that sometimes require the application of independent judgment. Developing individual contributor.
Communication Skills: Well versed in effectively interacting with partners to identify and process their requirements, the ability to effectively communication at multiple levels within the organization.
Customer Service Skills: Able to courteously interact with clients and internal partners to ensure positive customer experience.
Education and Training Skills:
- Associates degree in related field or 2-5 years’ experience in scheduling position
- Be capable of utilizing spreadsheet and ERP-type software in managing the planning process.
- Change Agent – skill with enabling change, strong influencing abilities particularly with client groups and frontline teams.
- Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management
- Team player able to work well across business operations and develop strong business teams. Demonstrated ability to influence teams and programs regarding quality, productivity and/or customer service.
- Strong PC skills (Microsoft Excel)
- Oracle Experience preferred
