Summary:

The Age of Learning Foundation is seeking a full-time Marketing & Social Media Manager who will drive our initial marketing strategy, user acquisition, and social media vision for our digital products delivered at no cost in designated international markets. You are creative and organized, possess excellent communication skills, understand the ongoing needs and interests of our Foundation’s audience, and are passionate about bringing high-quality learning to children worldwide.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Foundation partners and team to create a marketing strategy for each of the foundation markets (Central America, Kenya, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka) and products: ABCmouse English, ABCmouse, My Math Academy, & Reading IQ.
- Select appropriate user acquisition channels based on market knowledge and research (TV, radio, SMS, IVR, social media, or other creative methods)
- Source and manage local marketing partners in countries such as Guatemala, Nicaragua, Kenya, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka
- Plan marketing campaigns and collect/analyze funnel and conversion data using a variety of analytics tools
- Drive conversion and engagement rates using creative campaigns and ads
- Create/maintain editorial and posting calendar for all marketing campaigns, including digital and non-digital channels
- Curate engaging content daily, ensuring it is suitable for an international audience and in the Foundation’s established voice
- Ensure universal understanding and appreciation of content for an international audience where English may be a second or third language
- Use language that is clear and welcoming to an international audience
- Encourage and moderate posts from our audience, including driving conversation and sharing
- Collaborate with our video and graphics team members to create visual content
- Spearhead the launch of the Foundation social media communities, manage community comments and messages, and coordinate with Customer Support regarding community management
- Coordinate cross-functionally to stay informed about site/app updates, relevant news, and issues that may arise
Required Qualifications:
- 5-7 years’ experience in marketing and social media management
- Proven track record in markets outside of the United States with a strong preference for those who have worked in Central America, Sub-Saharan Africa, and/or South Asia
- Proven experience driving user acquisition, audience growth, and engagement on social media
- Thorough understanding of traditional and digital marketing elements, market research methods, and marketing to users who may have intermittent access to the internet
- Understand best practices and design needs/restrictions across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Social Messaging Apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, and even SMS)
- Strong copywriting skills and editorial judgment
- Knowledge of social scheduling and social analytics
- Ability to be a point person on social media outside office hours, when needed
- Must be fluent in English; fluency in a second language such as Spanish, Kiswahili, or Urdu is highly preferred
