About the Company
One More Game is an early-stage, venture-funded game company that supports flexible working schedules and fully-remote work. We believe creating outstanding games has more to do with building an extraordinary team than any other factor.
Our development philosophy is focused on sustaining developer happiness, maximizing iteration speed, and learning from player feedback. We know from experience it is sensible to ship games without crunch-time and have done so successfully.
Our team is composed of veteran developers with key contributions to the development of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Guild Wars and Magic: Arena. We seek team members who are enjoyable to work with and who will enhance our efforts, as we believe creating great games is a group endeavor made better with trust between teammates.
We aim to build games that will be cultural touchstones, the measure by which other games are judged. We seek remarkable people to join our team, and offer a comprehensive compensation package.
About the Role
We are seeking a Marketing Lead to execute a non-traditional player acquisition strategy. We believe that referral-based marketing has advantages that cannot be ignored, and drive much better ROI over the more traditional performance marketing approach. You’ll oversee our marketing efforts across a number of different verticals, including Partnerships, Social Media, CRM / Email, and Web Content. We intend to market our games in a way that will resonate with players: with honesty and authenticity.
We aim to self-publish in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Oceania, and partner with publishers elsewhere. We intend to keep the team small and agile for as long as possible, so we’re seeking a candidate who can do both the strategic and the tactical, and enjoys execution as much as planning.
We have built an amazing team, with members who’ve had key roles developing and publishing many well-loved, global gaming franchises, including Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Guild Wars, Aion, Tera, Magic: Arena, and Pokémon Online. We aspire to build original new games with that level of global and cultural resonance, and will look to your guidance and insights to help us achieve our goals.
Our games are online experiences that we plan to span mobile, PC, and console platforms, and so are seeking a candidate with previous experience in a Marketing leadership role launching games on multiple platforms.
To be effective in this role you must be able to
- Build new partnership relationships and manage activation deliverables with key partners
- Lead the conceptualization of our email program(s) that nurtures & informs players, extends the LTV of prior purchasers by promoting new releases, promotions & brand stories
- Establish and manage day-to-day social media channel engagement, advocate for social media channel methodologies including content strategy and optimization, working with internal cross-functional teams, and external agencies
- Clearly communicate roadmaps, progress, and risks
- Manage relationships and the building of strategic and tactical marketing plans with 1st party publishing platforms across their omni-channels and online platforms.
- Manage reporting and communications related to ASO and UA performance
- Build the pipeline that facilitates development of innovative and authentic marketing assets, ensuring buy-in from key internal stakeholders and timely execution
