General overview of the position
The Marketing Executive’s role is to make sure Universally Speaking is represented in the best way possible with both existing and new clients, that we fully engage with the wider Gaming industry and ultimately that we successfully grow our top line. This position will benefit from working with some industry leaders and will represent a brand that has won numerous awards servicing some of the world’s biggest games publishers, providing an exciting opportunity to grow with the business. There are two core areas of focus. Firstly, in marketing our services to the wider gaming industry and build the US brand, and secondly, in supporting our Key Account Directors as they pitch new business and grow existing relationships.
Key Accountabilities
Marketing lead:
- Conduct research into the sector to support business development, with a weekly circulation of key industry and partner insights and highlights – communicating trends, successes and opportunities to senior leadership
- Keep up to date with developments in the video games sector and with services and technology offerings within the company and our competitors
- Create engaging literature for trade press and organisational bodies, managing our PR plan
- Drive all social media and marketing activities (paid and organic) with literature and concept creation strategies to increase brand awareness and accomplish financial goals – evaluating tactics and channels to reach specific target audiences
- Leverage SEO and Search Engine Marketing programs and manage analytical tracking to assess performance and report via Dept scorecard • Maintain style guides and templates for our brand
- Develop brand enhancing marketing collateral using Adobe and MS Office tools
- Develop plan for all key Trade events, tracking effectiveness and represent US as needed
Key Accounts support:
- Develop strategies to sell AAA game service solutions to top global videogame developers and publishers
- Keeping updated on all news and developments with Key Accounts – and support / project manage major pitches
- Developing pitch decks and presentation materials with the Key Account Directors
- Attend Key Account meetings tracking actions and decisions and following up
- Work with the CRM to make sure all Key Account opportunities are updated weekly
- Aligning BD team’s strategic approach for working in all geographies
Other duties:
- Involvement with Sales forecasting and development of growth plans and performance enhancements driving new business development initiatives
- Attending meetings in our Wyboston or Liverpool office
- And, other such duties as are within the job purpose and at the manager’s discretion
Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
- Brilliant marketing skills and social media expertise
- Strong interpersonal /communications skills and action orientated
- Excellent written and spoken skills in English
- Ability to conduct research, analysis and advise accordingly
- Love gaming and are a strong team player
- Highly proficient in Adobe and MS Office design tools and navigating LinkedIn
- Results Driven, with strong Commercial judgment and Entrepreneurial spirit
- Quality focused with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to perform the role of a company ambassador
- Able to manage time efficiently and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must have the right to work and be based in the UK
Desirable but not necessary
- Detailed knowledge of the gaming sector, with Sales experience
- Experience with organizing events to build brand
