Marketing Campaign Manager
Toronto, Canada / hybrid
*This will be a contract role from January 2023 - December 2023.
Position is Hybrid, but needs to be able to commute to Mississauga.
PlayStation Global's Marketing Campaign Management team is seeking a well-rounded Marketing Campaign Manager to lead localization of Global campaign strategies, planning, execution, and measurement of holistic marketing campaigns supporting a varied assignment of campaigns ranging from PlayStation Brand, Hardware, First-Party Software, Third-Party Software, Peripherals, PlayStation Store and Services. In this role, you will be engaging with multiple stakeholders across internal SIE and external media agencies and partners to deliver campaign results for major product and services releases.
The ideal candidate has proven success leading large scale marketing campaigns from planning through to execution and measurement. Collaborative approach to working with various subject-matter-experts to bring campaigns to life. Proven track record as a creative and strategic contributor with a strong voice and authentic love for gaming, entertainment, and pop culture.
Responsibilities:
Campaign Management:
- Author localization of Global media strategy into local campaign briefs and track campaign readiness against Global deadlines
- Leading campaign briefing to media agencies and work closely with Community and Cultural Activation Teams on supporting briefing local creative and PR agencies on non-media opportunities such as events, social media, and community initiatives
- Collaborate with Community and Cultural Activation Team to bring forward non-media bespoke local concept that align to Campaign Strategies for Global approval process submission
- Maintain a close working relationship with Global Marketing and external agencies to ensure the management and timely generation of marketing assets (above-the-line advertising materials through to digital executions across desktop, tablet and mobile)
- Work with localization agencies to develop and gain approval for non-toolkit assets from Global campaign leads
- Guardianship of the PlayStation brand standards across the scope of assigned campaigns
- Work closely with Media and Analytics Manager and media agency to ensures ongoing optimization of media activity throughout campaigns
- Continual analysis of competitive products and competitor activity across marketing, sales, and PR to ensure PlayStation campaigns are delivering best-in-market results
- Utilizing existing research materials and working closely with Engagement, Player Insights and Media Team to ensure a full understanding of our audience and the impact of our campaigns against agreed objectives and KPIs
- Be team representative for Global calls on assigned vertical sharing info with other territory marketing team members as appropriate/approved via disclosure process
- Bring forward creative and impactful ideas for course-correction if campaigns impacts are falling short of delivering on business targets
Administration:
- Prudent observation of finance processes including budget management, timely PR & PO processing, on-going analysis of open POs and invoice recognition to ensure balances are closed to allow for timely re-investment
- Monthly budget forecasting and financial administration in relation to your ass
- Lead bringing together comprehensive post-campaign analysis that provide an overview of performance, insights, results vs. KPIs, ROI, campaign wins and learnings that can be leveraged for future campaigns
- Ensure the post-campaign analysis is shared with appropriate internal stakeholders from across the SIE territory and Global business
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing or related field OR equivalent experience
- 7+ years of work experience in brand or product management on a consumer brand, product or service or agency experience in a creative role
- Strong understanding and experience planning and executing paid media buys for both digital and non-digital placements
- Experience in developing integrated campaign plans and measurement
- Demonstrated ability to learn or experience working in the gaming or entertainment industry
- English required and French speaking a plus
- Passion for technology & entertainment (games, music, movies, TVs)
- Prove ability to translate campaign strategies to actions with strong ability to balance efficiency with impact to deliver on campaign KPIs and business targets
- Prior success bringing creative ideas to life and getting buy-in with multiple stakeholder
- An innovative mindset able to bring innovation to life through measured risks in media and non-media plans supporting campaigns
- An excellent communicator capable of building the trust and respect of multiple stakeholders from the Canada and Global teams whilst able to build strong working relationships with external agencies and suppliers
- An excellent time management/project management approach that holds self and stakeholders accountable to timelines
- Can thrive in a fast-paced ever-changing environment with ability to think on their feet and pivot when needed
- A great teammate who can identify and nurture key relationships both internally and externally
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a persistent attention to detail
- Proven track record of delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns with responsibility for audience insight, media planning and creative asset generation
- Comfort and skill with leveraging media analytics and consumer insights to evaluate media plans
- Ability to apply a data-centric approach to the testing and optimization of media placements
- Numerate and incisive with data with the ability to interpret sales performance metrics, market trends and campaign performance metrics and then react appropriately to maximise impact
