Marketing Asset Manager

This job lives in the Marketing and Communications department at IllFonic. The role is responsible for managing the process of and/or creating assets, both static and dynamic, for use across media, social media, websites, and more. As a Marketing Asset Manager, you are responsible for creating, and in some cases overseeing the creation of, assets for use internally and externally with partners; meeting all needed specifications and deadlines. Your responsibilities also include implementing delivery schedules for media elements and working closely with managers and other internal departments throughout the creation process. You will also facilitate communications with any third-party vendors and facilitate digital asset upload and download; along with helping manage this process with the Head of MARCOM. You will create, review, and edit assets, assign appropriate taxonomy and usage rights, assign needed metadata to assets, and convert items to the desired formats. Other duties include various administration tasks, training users on the asset management system, and providing regular project updates as needed.

Founded in 2007, IllFonic is an independent video game developer and publisher with studios in Lakewood, Colorado, Tacoma, Washington, and Austin, Texas. Our staff is composed of video game, music, and technology veterans redefining how indie and middle-market games are made and marketed. Current / Past titles and collaborations include Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Arcadegeddon, Predator: Hunting Grounds, Friday the 13th: The Game, Dead Alliance, Star Citizen, Evolve, Armored Warfare, and Nexuiz.
Responsibilities:
- The Marketing Asset Manager reports to the Head of the MARCOM Department. You will work with them to research and create the desired look and feel for each campaign.
- The main part of your duties will be working with internal and external stakeholders to maintain and uphold the look and feel of our game IP’s in the creation process of marketing assets.
- Schedule, track, and coordinate all creative marketing material production and delivery between departments and hired contractors.
- You will be working on and/or with contracted groups on key art pieces, logos, trailers, typography, and other items.
- Edit all marketing assets (static and dynamic) for use across multiple channels.
- Create marketing concepts that resonate with the target audience, for use across multiple marketing channels
- Protect IllFonic’s brand and visual identity in all assets created internally and externally.
- Research and document new tools and competitive trends in marketing visuals in the gaming space.
- Own deliverables and initiatives with attention to craft and detail.
- Hands-on creative development from concept to completion.
- Skillful at delivering constructive and detailed paint over direction and feedback.
Qualifications:
- As part of a small, dynamic team the ideal candidate will work well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment; be self-motivated, flexible, organized and detail-oriented; operate with tenacity and tact; deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines; and juggle competing priorities with a positive attitude.
- Bachelor's degree in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline, or equivalent work history with a portfolio of work to share.
- Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Video editing skills with a portfolio of work to share
- In-game capture and Unreal Engine knowledge is desirable
- Exceptional capability with typography, layout, and prototyping
- Strong creative vision with an understanding of project objectives, timelines, and priorities
- Creative problem solver and adaptable to unique challenges
- Advanced knowledge of office workflow programs (Google Suite, Jira, Slack, and others)
