As the Strategic Market Analyst you will play a key role in shaping Tilting Point’s future through strategic market and data analysis. You will have an in-depth understanding of the mobile games market, the ability to mine and analyze internal, open source and market data, and the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities. You’ll be able to put together and deliver compelling presentations to explain your strategic recommendations to the rest of the business, and you’ll be comfortable presenting to and working with the most senior people in the organization. You’ll ensure that Tilting Point stays ahead of the competition and will predict market shifts and upcoming trends in this fast moving and rapidly changing free-to-play gaming space.
Your Future at Tilting Point
- Analyze the market and internal data to present market evaluation on a regular basis
- Define gaming trends, user acquisition, creative and marketing opportunities
- Play key role in the evaluation of new business deals and partnerships
- Capture valuable data to broaden Tilting Point’s understanding of the market; Merge and cross-reference various data sources to discover unique opportunities in the market
- Support cross-functional teams (marketing, user acquisition, product) with the following:
- Analyzing the impact of their initiatives on game revenue and KPIs
- Defining brand, influencer and IP fit with specific games or game genres
- Capturing the evolution of mobile gaming and shifts in gaming genres
- Analyze and evaluate potential of new live products
- Be the market expert at Tilting Point; Constantly evaluate the market, competitors and suggest necessary changes to adapt to new trends
- Propose new internal tools or adopt 3rd party tools to improve Tilting Point’s market analysis capability and maintain its competitive advantage
Your Skills and XP
- Independent thinker with business acumen and entrepreneurial skills
- Analytical: uses data to analyse games and market performance, define trends and pitch business opportunities
- Strong presenter; Converts complex data into engaging and easily digestible reports or presentations
- Passionate about mobile gaming and industry trends; Excellent understanding of the entertainment industry, games and apps ecosystem
- Strong skills in data software I.e. fluent in Excel, knowledge of game analytics systems and market insights tools like App Annie, Sensor Tower, Apptopia, GameRefinery
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Science, Maths or another relevant field
- 4+ years experience in the industry
